Polyesters are synthetic fibers derived from coal, air, water and petroleum. Polyester fibers are formed by the chemical reaction between acids and alcohols. In this reaction, two or more molecules combine to form one structure that is repeated throughout the length of the macromolecule. Polyester fibers can form very long and very stable molecules.

Fiber filling is a large format used to produce quilts, pillows and outerwear. The two most frequently used forms are filaments and staple fibers.
Polyester filament yarn is used in the manufacture of many products including garments, furniture, industrial fabrics, computers and tapes, and electrical insulation. Polyester has several advantages over traditional fabrics such as cotton. Polyester is the perfect fabric for water, soil and fire protection because it does not absorb moisture but absorbs grease. Its low absorbency also makes it naturally resistant to stains.
Polyester Filament Yarn can be pre-shrinking in the finishing process, and then the fabric to resist shrinkage, will not be deformed. Fabric is easy to stain, will not be mildew damage. Textured polyester fibers are used to fill pillows, quilts, jackets and sleeping bags. Polyester is still one of the top consumer products that together with cotton and other fibers are driving the global economy.
